Hand made from old English soldier metal (a pewter-like alloy) and then beautifully hand painted, this fine chess set celebrates the famous battle in 1836 at the Alamo fort, Texas. This war, started by a single shot and which lasted over four years, saw many great battles including Shiloh, Bull Run and Gettsyburg. This chess set, inspired by these great battles, features the Northern Federal Army dressed in dark blue and commanded by General Ulysses S Grant, all set for battle against the Southern Confederate Army, dressed in grey and commanded by General Robert E Lee.
